Shanghai Power Institute Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd SPIEEC is a corporate enterprise invested by Shanghai Power Institute Technology Development Company an capital and assets operation orient subsidiary to Shanghai Power Institute. Since the forming of SPIEEC in March 1999, it has been supported strongly by leaders at all leaders and Technicians in Shanghai power system. Some deputy presidents of Shanghai Power Institute were positioned as Chairman or Honorary Chairman of SPIEEC, and professors and associate professors in Power Department were invited to be SPIEEC professional technical consultants in scientific R & D.

In December 1999, SPIEEC pasted a series of sample cabinet tests  such like GCK (1A) low-voltage drawer switchgear cabinet by Great Wall Appliances Test Institute, GGD 3-02B low-voltage AC power distributing cabinet, and GCS-2500A low-voltage drawer switchgear cabinet by Beijing Appliances Research Institute. All indexes have  reached IEC 439 and national standard. And was awarded all kinds of certificates issued. Tianjing Power Transmission Design Institute, the National low voltage apparatus certificate authority. Since then GCK1(1A) low-voltage drawer switchgear cabinet, JYX power supply inlet box in June 2001, GGD low-voltage switchgear assemblies bulbar system, GCS low-voltage drawer type switchgear cabinet, PML low voltage AC switch gear cabinet in January 2002 were pasted Identification as New Product by Shanghai Electrical Power Company and became an appointed  production unit of PML low voltage AC switchgear cabinet. In 2003, China Quality Certification Center awarded SPIEEC ISO9001 Quality Management System Certificate of Design, Development, production and Installation Servicing of Low Voltage Switchgear, Distribution and control Panel. In July 2003, SPIEEC products obtained “3C”,a compulsory certificate to Product, issued by the state certification organization. At same time, the company identified to ISO2000 from its ISO9001. In March 2005, GCK-Z intelligence low voltage switchgear was identified as a High and New technical conversion achievement by the Shanghai high and new technology Conversion achievement certification office.

SPIEEC is Located in high education  asset area of the NanHui Industrial zone,  It has a Land of 25 Mu with total construction area of 15479M².  Its workshop is installed various kinds of advanced level digital controlled machines like shearing machine, punch machine and bending roll  machine etc. In the living area, there are facilities like badminton and table-tennis rooms, reading room and multi-media classroom provided to make employee a rich off-work life.

In past 10 years, SPIEEC attracted high level technical professionals in the business, reinforced technical training to all the employee by introducing in and walking out and established a complete product quality guarantee system to hear comments on products from all aspects, especially the comments from the  technicians and operators who are working with the equipment product.
